The highly anticipated life simulation game, inZOI, is officially launching worldwide on March 28. KRAFTON, the developer, has confirmed this release date, offering enthusiasts an exciting first look into this innovative title. Ahead of the official launch, the development team will hold a special live event on March 19.
This exclusive presentation will give players a deep dive into the upcoming Early Access period. It will cover key information such as pricing, DLC strategies, the game's development timeline, and answers to community questions. The stream will be accessible on the official YouTube and Twitch channels, allowing a global audience to get the latest updates directly from the creators.
A defining feature of inZOI is its unique global karma system, which lets players shape the world in meaningful ways. Every decision a character makes affects their personal karma. Upon death, this accumulated karma dictates their fate in the afterlife. A negative karma balance turns the character into a ghost, who must redeem their past actions before being reborn. If too many ghosts linger in a city, they disrupt the natural life cycle, stopping new births and creating a spooky, haunted atmosphere.
Game Director Hyunjun Kim notes that the karma system isn't meant to impose strict morality or limit player choice. Rather, it's designed to encourage players to reflect on the complexities and value of life. "Life isn't simply a matter of 'good' or 'bad,'" Kim states. "Every life is meaningful. We hope players will use the karma system in inZOI to craft unique stories and explore the many dimensions of existence."
Given how players have creatively—and sometimes mischievously—engaged with other life simulation games like The Sims, such as building pools without ladders, it will be interesting to see how they interact with inZOI's karma mechanics. Fans won't have to wait long to explore this immersive world, as the game arrives globally on March 28.
