Monster Hunter Wilds (MH Wilds) has set a new record for Capcom, becoming the company's fastest-selling game by moving over 8 million units in just three days since its release. Capcom proudly announced this milestone on their official website, marking a historic achievement for the franchise.

Despite mixed reviews, MH Wilds has seen tremendous success on Steam, reaching over 1.3 million concurrent players, as reported by SteamDB. Capcom credits this success to their extensive promotional efforts, including global video game event appearances and an open beta test that allowed players to experience the game firsthand.

Latest Update Addressed Game-Breaking Bug

Capcom has been proactive in addressing some of the bugs that were affecting gameplay in Monster Hunter Wilds. The official Monster Hunter Status account on Twitter (X) announced on March 4, 2025, that a hot fix patch, version 1.000.04.00, is now available across all platforms.

This update tackled several issues, including the failure to unlock the "Grill a Meal" and "Ingredient Center" features despite meeting the necessary criteria, inaccessibility of the Monster Field Guide, and a critical bug that halted story progression in Chapter 5-2, "A World Turned Upside Down." Players are required to update the game to continue playing online.

However, not all bugs have been resolved yet. Some multiplayer-related issues persist, such as network errors when firing an SOS flare post-quest start, and Palico’s blunt weapon attacks not causing stun and exhaust damage. These issues are expected to be fixed in a forthcoming patch.
