Pokémon GO's Max Out Season: Dynamax Pokémon Arrive!
Get ready for gigantic Pokémon battles! Pokémon GO has officially confirmed the arrival of Dynamax Pokémon in its upcoming Max Out season. This exciting new feature brings a wave of in-game events and rewards.
Max Out Season: September 10th - September 15th
The Max Out season runs from September 10th, 10:00 a.m. local time to September 15th, 8:00 p.m. local time. Prepare for a week of colossal Pokémon encounters!
Dynamax Debut: Catch the Giants!
The season kicks off with 1-star Max Battles featuring Dynamax Bulbasaur, Charmander, Squirtle, Skwovet, and Wooloo. Catch them all, including shiny variants! These Pokémon, and their evolved forms, can then be Dynamaxed themselves.
Beyond Max Battles, expect special Field Research tasks and PokéStop Showcases with event-themed Pokémon offering reward opportunities.
A special Seasonal Special Research story will also be available from September 3rd, 10:00 a.m. to December 3rd, 9:59 a.m. local time. Complete Max Battle-focused tasks to earn Max Particles, a new avatar item, and other rewards.
Power Up with Max Particles!
An exclusive Max Particle Pack Bundle (4,800 Max Particles) will be available on the Pokémon GO web store for $7.99 starting September 8th, 6:00 p.m. PDT. These are crucial for the new Dynamax battles.
Future Additions: Power Spots and More?
Rumors point towards the introduction of Power Spots next month, designated locations for Max Battles, Dynamax Pokémon encounters, and Max Particle collection. While Niantic hasn't confirmed this, the anticipation is high.
According to Eurogamer, Pokémon GO senior producer John Funtanilla hinted at some Dynamax Pokémon also being capable of Mega Evolution. The possibility of Gigantamax Pokémon remains unconfirmed, despite being teased at Pokémon Worlds. Niantic promises further details soon.
