Following reported delays in the Xbox certification process, Microsoft has reportedly apologized to Jyamma Games for issues surrounding the launch of their debut title, Enotria: The Last Song.
Xbox Apology Resolves Enotria Certification Issues, But Release Date Remains Uncertain
Jyamma Games Expresses Gratitude to Phil Spencer and the Community
Microsoft's apology follows reports that Jyamma Games' submission for the Xbox platform had been ignored for over two months. This significant delay led the developer to announce an indefinite postponement of the Xbox release earlier this week.
Jyamma CEO Jacky Greco previously voiced frustration on the game's Discord server, stating that Microsoft's lack of response was unacceptable and that the company seemed unconcerned about Enotria and its players. He highlighted the significant investment made in porting the game to Xbox.
However, Microsoft's intervention has shifted the situation. Jyamma Games publicly thanked Phil Spencer and his team on Twitter (X) for their swift response and assistance in resolving the matter. The studio also acknowledged the passionate support from their community, emphasizing the impact of player advocacy.
Jyamma Games confirmed ongoing collaboration with Microsoft, expressing optimism for a timely Xbox release.
Greco further elaborated on the Discord server, confirming Microsoft's apology and commitment to resolving the situation as quickly as possible.
This isn't an isolated incident. Funcom recently reported optimization challenges porting Dune: Awakening to the Xbox Series S. While the PS5 and PC versions of Enotria: The Last Song remain on track for a September 19th release, the Xbox launch date remains uncertain.
