Killing Floor 3 Delayed to Later in 2025

Tripwire Interactive announced a significant delay for Killing Floor 3 (KF3), pushing its release to a later date in 2025. This decision comes just three weeks before the originally scheduled March 25th launch, following overwhelmingly negative feedback from the closed beta test.

In a March 7th, 2025 Bluesky post, Tripwire acknowledged the beta's shortcomings. They stated their commitment to delivering a game that meets the expectations of the franchise's loyal fanbase, not just a technologically ambitious leap. The post highlighted key areas needing improvement: performance and stability, user interface/user experience (UI/UX), lighting, and weapon feel.

Player feedback was scathing. Online forums and social media erupted with criticism, describing the beta as "insanely clunky," "unpolished," and "glitch-ridden." Concerns extended beyond technical issues; some players felt the game strayed too far from the series' horror roots, adopting a more futuristic sci-fi aesthetic. The character-locked classes in the beta also drew significant negative attention. One Reddit user, Captain_Pugman, poignantly questioned whether the developers had forgotten what made Killing Floor special.

Tripwire concluded their announcement with a promise to deliver a polished product and assured fans they would be the first to know of any further updates.

US PlayStation users will have a choice to keep their pre-order or receive a refund. Steam users will need to initiate refunds manually through Steam support.
