This week, the developers behind InZOI are taking a well-deserved break to celebrate the New Year, enjoying a three-day holiday in South Korea. Before stepping away, Hyungjun "Kjun" Kim, the project lead, took the time to share valuable insights into the features that fans have been eagerly requesting for the game, along with details on which of these will be implemented and to what extent.

In InZOI, players will have the exciting opportunity to utilize real facial capture technology to create templates for crafting zois. This feature, which was highlighted in summer announcements for its convenience, is set to be further simplified, according to Kjun, enhancing the ease of creating zois even more. Additionally, fans of pets will be pleased to know that they'll be able to have their own in-game companions, though this feature won't be available during the early access phase. Fans will need to exercise a bit of patience, but it's worth noting that Kjun himself is a big animal lover, which adds a personal touch to this anticipated addition.
The game environment will include tall buildings, with a cap set at 30 floors. While the game engine theoretically supports taller constructions, this limitation is in place to address potential performance issues, ensuring a smoother gameplay experience. InZOI will also feature gas stations and fights, with Kjun noting that the initial slap mechanic in early previews was felt to be too shallow by players. Responding to this feedback, the game will now boast full-fledged fights, complete with winners and losers, adding depth and excitement to the gameplay.
To accommodate the influx of newcomers unfamiliar with the genre, InZOI will include a tutorial, demonstrating the developers' thoughtful approach to welcoming new players. This consideration is certainly commendable. As it stands, Krafton is still on track to release InZOI in early access at the end of March, with no further delays currently anticipated.
